As you walk and eat and travel, be where you are. Otherwise you will miss most of your life.

My website is temporary unavailable -
Yes. That’s right - if you visit my site at this current moment, you’ll be greeted by a blonde and uncomfortably content young lady.
I love how the tab description begins with “Cash Advance” - Because at the moment, that’s something I’d like to have. Unfortunately my site renewal didn’t take out my automatic payment and I haven’t had the time to call them up.
But it’s made me realise - since graduating, I haven’t created any new work - July onwards I guess my mind just drifted into finding a career opportunity which would direct me towards a stable income.
Anyway - I made a new discovery that has tantalised my senses - Lianne La Havas. The same goosebumps Corinne Bailey Rae gave me before her LP release. Bittersweet lyrics that tell a narrative of young love, lost souls and acoustic melodies.
Above is one of my favourites - Don’t wake me up - with the lyrics ”…But you are my only counterpart” - I hope that her studio recording preserves her presence, vocally, she has the strength to perform with just a guitar.
In a abstract connection to my new found love - I began contemplating about buying gig tickets as I received a ticketmaster.co.uk voucher on Christmas… And I thought to myself… Why not check if Lianne La Havas has a gig coming up.
To my suprise she did have several. And… They were just 5 minutes from my work place and this week. But as any up and coming sound of 2012…
TICKETS SOLD OUT
I was pretty upset about that and what made it worse, was that Miranda Hart never won a comedy award.
This is where my rantings end.
If you didn’t know… I am a huge Aaliyah fan. Not only because of her music - but because of her photography.
My two favourite photographers are David La Chapelle and Jonathan Mannion (whom created these stunning visuals above).
According to sources, Mannion was the last ever photographer to ever do a professional shoot with Aaliyah - which makes me think this was done Late Spring 2001 or Early Summer 2001 - Due to the release of her self-titled Aaliyah in July 2001. Within the booklet Mannion’s beautiful shots capture the expression of self-confidence yet not within a egotistical frame of mind.
One of my aims in 2012 is to purchase a Aaliyah print and one especially by Mannion - His approach to capturing identities never gives out too much that it’s intense - but enables the invidual’s body language and gesture to speak clearly.
His choices on backdrops and scenarios really create a enviroment which is proper eye-candy.
I found this while I was at work: Made me pause for a minute after the final scene.
Symmetry: From Everynone - A dark look at Symmetry (from Greek συμμετρεῖν symmetría “measure together”) generally conveys two primary meanings. The first is an imprecise sense of harmonious or aesthetically pleasing proportionality and balance; such that it reflects beauty or perfection.
Jeffrey says:
Somewhat intended to be for American viewers (Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches) - What seems like a light-hearted look at symmetry, Everynone creates a visual experience which touches upon diversity, relationships and our perception of the everyday. At some points the split screen provide visuals which seem as if we’re within a analysis of life - concluding with a scene which cannot be argued to be the most darkest but truest symmetry to life.
Just letting everyone know I’m still alive.
Now working in London as a Creative Social Media intern, based in Oxford Circus.
I’ve been there for a week and really loving it.
Times moves so fast.
I have promising news, in regards to visual art related ventures, but it all seems so hard to juggle in the fast-paced movement which is now my life.
Change is inevitable and it happens when your too busy to realise where you are standing, you weren’t here this time last year.
